HIBBING AGE to age SPEAK OUT

Hear about growing up in Hibbing in past decades, right up to the present day. What was it like in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s? What things about being a young person in Hibbing have changed over time? What is still the same? Join us for a fun panel discussion!

Free of charge with dinner included! Ages 9 to 99 are welcome. Prizes will be given away.

Use the main entrance by the flagpole and keep walking straight ahead into the Natural Science wing. The classroom is the last one at the end of the hallway. All meetings are FREE and Dinner is included!

Description

Community members ages 9 to 99 are encouraged to attend, as Ely and Hibbing communities launch AGE to age: bringing generations together through a series of meetings to gather input and form action plans! AGE to age joins young people with older adults 55+, and the generations in between, to get to know each other and work together to make Ely a better place to grow up and grow older. Make new friends and help your community.

Join in at any point to help your community be a more welcoming place for all ages, create a vision for your community, brainstorm project ideas, undertake project planning, and move to action!

Description

All who provide child care to young children ages 5 and younger in northeastern Minnesota or Douglas County, WI, are invited.

Join this annual day of learning, networking, food, and fun along with other child care providers from throughout the region. Learn from our expert speaker, qualify for 4 Parent Aware Training Hours (with a DEVELOP number), receive free books and educational materials, enjoy lunch, and enter for fabulous prize drawings.

Tracy Schreifels, MS, LMFT, IMH-E (III), a mental health specialist for Reach Up, Inc., a Head Start and Early Head Start agency in St. Cloud will present two trainings, "Strategies to Strengthen Relationship and Regulation in Early Childhood: A Trauma-informed Approach" and "Play: The Biggest Developmental Bang for the Buck".

The Registration deadline is March 3, 2017.

Cost:
- $30 per person
- $15 per person ONLY for those providers who are part of the Northland Foundation's Parent Aware Pathways initiative.

NOTE: This year, you must have a DEVELOP # when you register in order to receive credit for training hours.

There are two ways to register for the seminar, online or by mailing in a registration form.

1. REGISTER ONLINE (option to pay by credit card or mail a check): This year, our online Registration will be through Eventzilla. All the Providers' Seminar details and the steps to register for one or more people can be found at the link below. You will have the choice to pay using a credit card or by check near the end of the process. Please note if you pay by check, write your confirmation number (which will come in an email) in the Memo area on the check.

CHILD CARE PROVIDERS' ONLINE REGISTRATION

Be sure to read the "How To Register" directions on the site before you start. If you have a DEVELOP number, have it on hand. If you don't have a DEVELOP number but want to qualify for the 4 Training Hours, please read the Directions to Get a DEVELOP Number.

2. REGISTER BY MAIL: Call Northland Foundation to have a printed Registration Form sent to you, then mail back the completed form with a check. Call Northland Foundation at (218) 723-4040 or (800) 433-4045 for this option.
