KIDS PLUS Community Highlights
Bovey-Coleraine KIDS PLUS offers “Terrific Tuesdays in the Park” during the summer months. Arts and crafts, nature and science activities, games, sports, and socializing are provided to area youth by the local teenagers employed through this program. This experience not only offers children a safe and fun place to be, but also provides older teens with mentoring opportunities, job skill development, and employment. |

The Grand Portage Reservation Community Center is home to the Grand Portage KIDS PLUS Program. This bustling center offers young people a place to develop relationships with peers and elders, learn more about their cultural heritage, and enjoy after-school programs. The exciting line-up of KIDS PLUS activities includes a summer camp which provides fun, structured summertime activities such as education, crafts, recreation, and field trips.

The local Kiwanis Club has partnered with Chisholm KIDS PLUS by co-sponsoring the Key Club for students in grades 8-12. Together, the Key Club members and the Kiwanians have participated in numerous community events by providing volunteers for Fire Days, The Field of Screams,
and Bike Rodeo safety classes for elementary youth, to name a few. In addition, Chisholm KIDS PLUS designed Talk Abouts, a program aimed at educating students, parents, and the community on issues affecting various age groups of youth in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
